Description
Using fruits in Christmas decoration goes way back to 1700. Featured in this image are dehydrated apple and orange sliced bound together decorated with an anise star and bay leaves. The dehydrated decorative fruit bundle is used to decorate the home, Christmas gifts, and the Christmas tree. They are easy to do. Take fresh crisp apples, pears, oranges, and limes slice them thin, place them on a baking sheet or dehydrator sheet, on low heat let the fruit dehydrate. This take about a day. Use clear craft varnish or decoupage to lightly cover the dried fruit and let dry. Flip over and repeat. Take dried fruit and bind with raffia or sewing treat. Use this decoration in your dining room, kitchen, living room, on Christmas wreaths, for window decoration. Wonderful old world arts and craft project. You want to believe the wonderful smells in your home.
